Reiki and Ethereal Touch

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
 
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
       
Four primary doors lead to Reiki success.  (1) Energy flows to where the thought is focused, to the point of least resistance. (2) The hands are a center of force.  'Take your thoughts and your vision to your mind, then to the heart center, then to your hands.'  Energy will flow, and the strength of that energy depends on persistence.  (3) The vital body holds millions of energy force lines 'that repair the effects of emotions' through the chakras and endocrine system.  (4) Symbology activates energetic power by resonating with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  Mankind's first language has spiritual strength and helps the energy automatically find the center for need, for healing.
 
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. EFT and other Subtle Energy Psychology Modalities

EFT is based on a new discovery regarding the body's subtle energies. Simply stated, it is an emotional version of acupuncture, except needles aren't necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere. It launches off the EFT Discovery Statement which says...

"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

And because our physical pains and diseases often appear to be connected with our emotions the following statement has also shown merit...

"Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases."

This common sense approach draws its power from (1) time-honored Eastern discoveries that have been around for over 5,000 years and (2) Albert Einstein, who told us back in the 1920's that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy. These ideas have been largely ignored by Western Healing Practices and that is why EFT can work where nothing else does.

EFT integrates right and left brain hemispheres, creating swift, positive responses and outcomes and is particularly effective in the treatment of trauma and phobias.

Meditation and Movement Programs

Meditation is one of the proven alternative therapies. It can be broadly classified under the mind-body medicine.

More and more doctors are prescribing meditation as a way to lower blood pressure, improve exercise performance in people with angina, help people with asthma breathe easier, relieve insomnia and generally relax the everyday stresses of life. Meditation is a safe and simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states. It is simple; but can benefit everybody.

The use of Meditation for healing is not new. Meditative techniques are the product of diverse cultures and peoples around the world. It has been rooted in the traditions of the world's great religions. In fact, practically all religious groups practice meditation in one form or another. The value of Meditation to alleviate suffering and promote healing has been known and practiced for thousands of years.

Like the Eastern discipline of yoga, movement meditation combines breathing and gentle, flowing movements to create a meditative state. It appeals especially to those who tend to achieve a meditative state of mind by moving their bodies.

Movement meditation allows a person to draw in qi energy from the Earth, which many healers-such as acupuncturists, acupressurists and some massage therapists-regard as the essential life force.

Movement meditation is excellent to do first thing in the morning and can also be a prelude to prayer or another form of meditation.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a technique that uses the hypnotic state, which enables changes in perception and memory, a major increase in response to suggestion, and the potential for controlling many physiologic functions that are usually involuntary. Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance. The person’s attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person is temporarily blocked out or ignored. In this naturally occurring state, a person may focus his or her attention—with the help of a trained therapist—on specific thoughts or tasks.

How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy is usually considered an aid to counseling, rather than a treatment in itself. It helps with counseling because the hypnotic state allows people to explore painful thoughts, feelings, and memories they might have hidden from their conscious minds. Hypnosis enables people to perceive some things differently, such as blocking an awareness of pain.

Hypnotherapy can be used in two ways:

Suggestion therapy — The hypnotic state makes the person better able to respond to suggestions.  Hypnotherapy can help some people change certain behaviors, such as to stop smoking or stop nail-biting. It can also help people change perceptions and sensations, and is particularly useful in treating pain. 

Analysis — This approach uses the relaxed state to find the root cause of a disorder or symptom, such as a traumatic past event that a person has hidden in his or her unconscious memory. Once the trauma is revealed, it can be addressed.

What are the benefits of hypnotherapy?
The hypnotic state allows a person to be more open to discussion and suggestion.

Life and Wellness Coaching

These professionals are often at the top of their game, yet wouldn't think of 'going it alone.' Many of us are now recognizing the value of this unique relationship and are adapting it to a personal level.

Life coaches are more than a friend with whom to share problems. They are a sounding board for solutions to the challenges we face on a daily basis. They are mentors in some cases, cheerleaders in others. Part consultant, part family. Coaches unleash the power of partnership.

With a coach, we do more than we would do on our own, go further and faster toward our goals, and take ourselves more seriously. We have an accountability partner who shares our best interest and keeps us moving forward. Life coaching is about taking action and making things happen.

Price includes initial assessment, goals setting and end analysis which ultimately falls outside of the treatment time as charged. No further payment is required, however, as these services are performed without charge.
